{"id":32121,"date":"2023-08-22T12:30:27","date_gmt":"2023-08-22T10:30:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webgas.net\/le-creativity-ugc-user-generated-content\/"},"modified":"2026-04-21T11:15:20","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T09:15:20","slug":"the-creativity-ugc-user-generated-content","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webgas.net\/en\/blog\/the-creativity-ugc-user-generated-content\/","title":{"rendered":"UGC (User Generated Content) Creations."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Welcome to this new article where we are going to cover, once again, the topic of creative for our Facebook Ads.<\/p>\n\n<p>In particular, we are going to address a particular type of creativity: UGC User Generated Content.<br\/><br\/>As you well know, <strong>creativity is one of the fundamental elements<\/strong> of our advertising campaigns, and one weapon you absolutely must exploit within your campaigns is User Generated Content.<br\/><br\/>You don&#8217;t know what I&#8217;m talking about?<\/p>\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t worry, let&#8217;s find out together \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-image uagb-block-f179a28c wp-block-uagb-image--layout-default wp-block-uagb-image--effect-static wp-block-uagb-image--align-none\"><figure class=\"wp-block-uagb-image__figure\"><img decoding=\"async\" srcset=\"https:\/\/webgas.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Creativita-User-Generated-Content-UCG.jpg  \" src=\"https:\/\/webgas.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Creativita-User-Generated-Content-UCG.jpg\" alt=\"Creativity User Generated Content\" class=\"uag-image-21464\" title=\"\"><\/figure><\/div>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is User Generated Content?<\/h2>\n\n<p>According to  <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Contenuto_generato_dagli_utenti\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wikipedia<\/a>, &#8220;user-generated content (from the English user-generated content; acronym UGC) means.  <strong>\n  <mark style=\"background-color:var(--ast-global-color-0)\" class=\"has-inline-color\">any type of content<\/mark>\n<\/strong> &#8211; such as, for example: blog posts, forum discussions, social network posts and tweets, podcasts and other types of digital audio, image and video files &#8211;  <mark style=\"background-color:var(--ast-global-color-0)\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Created by users and published on the Internet, often made usable through social networking platforms<\/mark>.&#8221;<br\/><br\/>As you can imagine, this particular type of content, used for our campaigns as creative, can generate some very good results.<br\/><br\/>User-generated content, unlike brand-generated content, <mark style=\"background-color:var(--ast-global-color-0)\" class=\"has-inline-color\">is much more authentic and reliable<\/mark>, generating countless benefits for the company. This is because UGC content puts<strong> consumers at the center of communication<\/strong>. In this case, the marketing message is not delivered by the brand from above, <mark style=\"background-color:var(--ast-global-color-0)\" class=\"has-inline-color\">so it does not result in a classic marketing action<\/mark>.<br\/><br\/>On the contrary, it is our own consumers who speak positively about our brand or product, conveying a very important aspect: Social <strong>Proof<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p>As mentioned earlier, interacting with a brand through user-generated content succeeds in conveying more credibility and trustworthiness to a new potential customer.<br\/><br\/>Still not convinced? Let&#8217;s look together at <strong>some data on UGC<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>According to a survey conducted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20190220005302\/en\/Stackla-Survey-Reveals-Disconnect-Content-Consumers-Marketers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stackla<\/a>, <mark style=\"background-color:var(--ast-global-color-0)\" class=\"has-inline-color\">90 percent of consumers consider Authenticity as an important decision-making factor<\/mark> when choosing and supporting a brand.<br\/><br\/>Also according to the survey conducted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nosto.com\/resources\/report-consumer-marketing-perspectives-on-content-in-the-digital-age\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stackla<\/a>, <mark style=\"background-color:var(--ast-global-color-0)\" class=\"has-inline-color\">79% of people say that UGC content greatly impacts their purchasing decisions<\/mark>. In addition, consumers believe that <mark style=\"background-color:var(--ast-global-color-0)\" class=\"has-inline-color\">UGC content impacts 9.8 times more than influencers<\/mark>, in their purchasing decisions.<br\/><br\/>As reported by some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.annexcloud.com\/blog\/the-ultimate-list-of-user-generated-content-statistics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">research<\/a>, many brands that have used UGC creatives within their advertising campaigns have experienced about a 50 percent increase in CTR over brand-generated content.<br\/><br\/>In short, these are just some data collected on the effectiveness of UGC for a brand.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Types of User Generated Content  <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>As we saw earlier in Wikipedia&#8217;s definition <mark style=\"background-color:var(--ast-global-color-0)\" class=\"has-inline-color\">there are several types of UGC<\/mark>, let&#8217;s list some of them:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Images<\/strong> (Ex: user using one of our products)<\/li><li><strong>Video<\/strong> (Ex: Product Review or Explanatory Video)<\/li><li><strong>Live Directs<\/strong> (Ex: user participating in a live broadcast)<\/li><li><strong>Blog Post<\/strong> (ex: users who actively participate in our community by generating content, articles realtive to our brand\/product)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p>Okay, all very nice but still not convinced as to why to use UGC within your Advertising Campaigns.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s go through some of its benefits in detail.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The benefits of User Generated Content<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>As you well know, <mark style=\"background-color:var(--ast-global-color-0)\" class=\"has-inline-color\">creative turns out to be a key element<\/mark> in the performance and ROAS of our campaigns. In this day and age, capturing the attention of potential customers is the main challenge facing all marketers.<\/p>\n\n<p>Considering that a person is exposed daily to hundreds and thousands of advertisements, capturing his or her attention is not so easy.  <\/p>\n\n<p>This is precisely why UGCs are essential, because <mark style=\"background-color:var(--ast-global-color-0)\" class=\"has-inline-color\">being &#8220;natural&#8221; and &#8220;spontaneous<\/mark>&#8221; (they are not always really; sometimes they are the result of arrangements with Influencers) they <mark style=\"background-color:var(--ast-global-color-0)\" class=\"has-inline-color\">blend in with the other videos that keep us glued in front of the screen for minutes<\/mark>.<\/p>\n\n<p>One of the classic examples of UGC involves a video in which a user explains his or her experience with a brand, the feelings and emotions he or she experienced while buying or applying a particular product.<\/p>\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:var(--ast-global-color-0)\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Product reviews<\/mark> generated by other users, for example, succeed in conveying a <strong>positive perception<\/strong> and increased trust towards that brand (Do you think it is a coincidence that within most product pages reviews are included?).<\/p>\n\n<p>By using these types of creative within our campaigns, we are able to <mark style=\"background-color:var(--ast-global-color-0)\" class=\"has-inline-color\">authentically personalize our advertising messages<\/mark>. Our target audience will be led to interact more with this type of content going to increase our CTRs and Engagement Rate.<\/p>\n\n<p>Among other advantages we can definitely count is the cost of UGC.<\/p>\n\n<p>To carry out these types of creative, you do not need a creative agency to produce video content or images for your Brand. Asking your community to leave you a video review or post <mark style=\"background-color:var(--ast-global-color-0)\" class=\"has-inline-color\">is less expensive than the cost of a creative agency or working with one or more influencers<\/mark>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Especially for small businesses and anyone struggling with content production and implementation, User Generated Content can be a less expensive alternative to content produced by the marketing team.<\/p>\n\n<p>Similarly, UGC contributes in the growth of Brand Loyalty with its community, making users protagonists and true participating actors for the Brand rather than mere consumer customers.<\/p>\n\n<p>Okay, is the theory explained, but you&#8217;re still not clear on what a UGC Video might look like?
